Patient allocation

If you visit the university hospital on an outpatient basis, please check in directly at the control center of the respective outpatient clinic. In general, an appointment must be scheduled in advance (exception: emergency).

Documents to bring:

• Health insurance card
• If applicable, referral form
• Exemption certificate from the health insurance (if exempt from co-payments)
• Medical records, if available

Monday - Thursday: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm Friday: 8:00 am – 1:00 pm

For an inpatient referral of a patient, please contact the relevant clinic in advance.

Department Finder - An easy way to find the right hospital department

The inpatient admission is located in the entrance hall of the university hospital. Upon admission, a treatment contract is established with the patient. Additionally, there is the option to enter into a contract for elective services such as accommodation in a single room or treatment by the chief physician.

Any questions regarding this, health insurance, or potential personal cost contributions will be gladly answered by the on-site staff at the patient admission.

Opening hours of the inpatient admission:

• Monday – Thursday: 7:15 am – 4:00 pm
• Friday: 7:15 am – 12:00 pm

Documents to bring (can also be submitted later):

• Health insurance card
• Appointment letter from the clinic (if the referral is issued by an outpatient clinic)
• Prescription for hospital treatment (if referred by a practicing physician)
• Exemption certificate from the health insurance (if exempt from co-payments)
• Medical records, if available

The Patient Management and Revenue Assurance department provides information on the remuneration and invoicing of outpatient or inpatient medical treatment.
