Dermatologic surgery
We carry out outpatient, inpatient and day-case operations in the Dermatology Clinic's surgical department.

The focus is on the surgical removal of malignant skin tumours (e.g. melanomas, basal cell carcinomas, spinocellular carcinomas, lymphomas of the skin). In the case of malignant melanoma, we perform a lymph node biopsy in co-operation with the surgical and nuclear medicine clinic. In addition to the surgical removal of tumours, incision-controlled (micrographic) surgery of basal cell carcinomas is one of our main focuses. This method enables a significant reduction in the recurrence rate of problem tumours. The healthy tissue is spared as far as possible. A particular focus is the early surgical treatment of children with congenital birthmarks (pigmented nevi).
Other surgical treatments for:
- Precancerous skin lesions (precancerous lesions)
- Benign neoplasms and malformations of the skin and the superficial vascular and venous system
- Excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis)
- Bulbous nose (rhinophyma)
- Acne inversa
- Scars and acne scars
- Sample biopsies to confirm the diagnosis of inflammatory dermatoses, collagenoses and skin tumours

In addition to traditional surgery with a scalpel, we also perform laser surgery, cryosurgery and electrocaustic procedures as well as photodynamic therapy. Always with the aim of providing our patients with the best possible care.
