Paediatric and Adolescent Medicine
Interdisciplinary Child and Adolescent Medicine
At the Children's University Hospital of Eastern Bavaria (KUNO Clinic), we treat children and adolescents as part of interdisciplinary child and adolescent medicine together with partners from other UKR clinics (e.g. the Clinic and Polyclinic for Accident Surgery, Neurosurgery, Ear, Nose and Throat Medicine and the Department of Plastic, Hand and Reconstructive Surgery).
The focus is on the treatment of paediatric patients with diseases in the following areas
- Liver diseases (including liver transplantation)
- Serious diseases of other organs
- Systemic diseases
- Vascular malformations/anomalies
- Serious injuries
Ward 84
Infants, children and adolescents aged 0 to 18 years are treated on ward 84.
The ward has 19 beds, where the children and adolescents are mainly accommodated in three-bed rooms. Each bed space is connected to a central monitoring unit.
Accommodation for parents
Accompanying persons of our young patients can stay overnight in the parents' house of the VKKK Ostbayern e.V. As a stay in hospital often takes a great deal of energy from the accompanying person, it is important to have a sheltered and, above all, quiet place to retreat to. There you can have a rest and recharge your batteries for the next day.
