Neurointerventional nerve block

We perform nerve blocks, a minimally invasive, targeted pain therapy, for chronic pain syndromes of the lumbar spine. To do this, a very thin needle is placed directly near the nerve root under CT guidance, and then the medication is administered at the site of the pain.

Causes of chronic back pain can include:

• Degenerative changes in the spine
• Disc herniation
• Scar pain after disc surgery or spinal canal stenosis
