X-ray Diagnostics
Minimally invasive tumour therapies
Minimally invasive tumour therapy is a radiological method of treatment.
Benefits
- Minimally invasive: particularly gentle procedures involving only minor incisions (needle pricks)
- Very short recovery time compared to conventional (open) surgical methods
- Possibility of consecutive repeatability
- Use of state-of-the-art imaging techniques such as computed tomography (CT), ultrasound or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for targeted image guidance during procedures.
Tumour therapies are performed at the Centre for Radiological Interventional Oncology (RIO) at Regensburg University Hospital. Please feel free to contact the centre at the Department for X-ray Diagnostics if you have any questions or would like to book an appointment for outpatient consultation.
