Anaesthesiology
Anaesthesia
The Clinic for Anaesthesiology treats patients in 25 operating rooms: from surgery and dermatology to ENT and ophthalmology. We also provide care for patients outside the central operating room, for example in polyclinics, the endoscopy department or in the cardiac catheter laboratory.
We employ all modern methods of inhalation anaesthesia, total intravenous anaesthesia, and regional anaesthesia.
We specialise in the care of neurosurgical, cardiac, and polytrauma patients as well as patients with intubation problems, high blood loss, and organ transplants.
The pre-anaesthesia consultations take place in our outpatient anaesthesia unit during the day. Two recovery rooms with 16 beds are available for post-surgical care where patients are monitored and attended to until their transfer to the department/ward providing continuation care.
