Clinical Data Integration Centre at UKR (MEDIZUKR)

The Clinical Data Integration Centre at UKR (MEDIZUKR) is a central facility operated jointly with the Faculty of Medicine at Regensburg University Hospital: its purpose is to make patient data generated during a visit to the Hospital available for specific clinical research purposes. This data can then help to improve and accelerate the detection and treatment of disease in the future. Ensuring an appropriate level of protection for this data is of paramount importance.

MEDIZUKR functions as an internal service facility for data integration and the creation of a repository for research staff, with the aim of obtaining research results for the improvement of healthcare provision.

As part of the Medical Informatics Initiative (MII) funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research, MEDIZUKR also seeks to network with data integration centres at other German University hospitals, so as to facilitate the use of multisite data analyses.
