Diseases of the pancreas

Patients with diseases of the pancreas, whether acute or chronic inflammation, benign or malignant tumours, will find themselves in the best hands with our specialists. While acute pancreatitis rarely requires surgery, complications resulting from chronic pancreatitis can be successfully addressed by surgery. Surgery is often the only chance of a cure for tumours of the pancreas, especially in the case of pancreatic cancer.

Fast and accurate diagnosis and treatment

Optimum treatment requires diagnosis that is as fast and accurate as possible. As a certified pancreatic centre at Regensburg University Hospital, we work closely with other specialist disciplines to offer you maximum expertise, state-of-the-art diagnostics and a range of treatment methods – often as part of a multimodal approach. This often involves various forms of treatment, such as surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy as well as supportive measures in order to treat your condition as effectively as possible.

Consultation times & contact

We offer comprehensive advice during our pancreatic consultation times – including a second opinion – on all aspects of your condition, the necessary diagnostics as well as treatment options.
