Hernias and abdominal wall defects
We treat hernias, i.e., inguinal, umbilical, and diaphragmatic hernias, as well as complex abdominal wall defects, with the greatest expertise. With around 300,000 operations performed each year in Germany, hernias are one of the most common surgical conditions. The spectrum ranges from relatively uncomplicated inguinal or umbilical hernias to complex abdominal wall defects or internal hernias, known as diaphragmatic hernias. Besides surgical expertise, it is particularly important to make the correct assessment and preoperative diagnosis.
Hernia centre
Our hernia centre offers you leading-edge surgical techniques. These can often be performed using minimally invasive techniques, i.e. keyhole surgery. Complex abdominal wall reconstructions are offered for severe cases, possibly with supportive measures such as fascial traction systems, progressive pneumoperitoneum or botox treatment.
Consultation times & appointments
Our consultation service for hernia surgery and abdominal wall reconstruction provides you with comprehensive advice – including a second opinion – covering all aspects of your condition, the required diagnostics and treatment options.
